Ben Marcum & Barbara MacFerrin are excited to announce that we will be hosting a 2 day, Fine Art Portrait Master Class in my studio on Jan 26th and 27th 2024 just before ImagingUSA.
Only 10 seats are available. Early bird pricing is in effect until November 1st, 2023. After that, seats will be full price.
Since you’re going to be traveling to Louisville for the conference, plan a couple of extra days to learn lighting, direction, and post-processing from two award-winning photographers!
What to expect:
During this 2-Day Masterclass
- You will get to see the lighting setups that Ben and Barbara use and how to use them to create beautifully lit portraits.
- But there’s more to stunning portraits than knowing how to use light. You also need to know how to connect with your subject and how to use that connection to create portraits with connection. You will be able to watch Ben and Barbara work with models, and then get the opportunity to work with the models as well.
- What happens once you’ve created amazing portraits? Re-touching! Day 2 we will dig into the nuts and bolts of retouching and the methods Ben & Barbara use as well as retouching your own images.
- Your workshop will also include plenty of time to ask questions and get Ben & Barbara’s guidance and feedback.

You will need your camera and shooting gear as well as your laptop.
