Portraits Inspired by Joseph DeCamp’s “Woman Drying Her Hair”
A couple months ago, my wife and I took a day trip to Cincinnati to visit the Cincinnati Museum of Art. Walking around the museum was inspiring and I thought, it would be a fun experiment to recreate/riff on some of the pieces that grabbed my attention.

I first wanted to try to recreate the lines and feeling that DeCamp made in his original. I was then curious to see how the mood of the image would change by adding the model’s face. Honestly, I love both.
